Frequently asked questions

Which install method should I use?

Use npm (or pnpm / bun) today. It works on macOS, Windows and Linux on x64 and ARM. The one-line curl installer and Homebrew formula are coming soon.

Do I need an account?

Yes. After installing, run assumer login to sign in. Assumer runs models through your Assumer account, and the Free plan lets you try it without a credit card.

What are the system requirements?

A 64-bit macOS, Windows or Linux machine on x64 or ARM (glibc and musl Linux are both supported), plus npm, pnpm or bun to install. Assumer ships as a native binary, so Node.js is not needed to run it. A terminal with true-color support gives the best experience.

How do I update Assumer?

Run assumer upgrade, or reinstall with the same package manager you used to install it.

How do I uninstall?

Run assumer uninstall, or npm uninstall -g @4born-solutions/assumer.
