Integrations

Connect Assumer to the tools you already use

MCP servers, GitHub, editors, language servers and formatters, or run Assumer as a server and build on top of it.

MCP servers

Give the agent new tools and data through the Model Context Protocol. Add servers from the command line or in your project config.

  • Add a server interactively with assumer mcp add
  • Local servers run as a command (stdio); remote servers connect over HTTP
  • OAuth sign-in for remote servers with assumer mcp auth
  • Every MCP tool is covered by your allow / ask / deny permissions
  • Manage servers inside the UI with /mcps
assumer.json
{
  "mcp": {
    "github": {
      "type": "remote",
      "url": "https://api.githubcopilot.com/mcp/"
    },
    "playwright": {
      "type": "local",
      "command": ["npx", "-y", "@playwright/mcp@latest"]
    }
  }
}

GitHub

Bring the agent to your pull requests and issues.

Install

Run assumer github install in a repository to set up the integration.

Pull requests

Check out and work on a PR locally with assumer pr 123.

Automate

Use assumer run in scripts to apply the agent to repeatable tasks.

Editors

Use Assumer from editors that support the Agent Client Protocol (ACP), such as Zed.

terminal
# Start Assumer as an ACP agent for your editor
assumer acp

Language servers

Assumer uses language servers to understand types, symbols and errors. Servers are downloaded automatically when a project needs them.

TypeScript / JavaScriptPython (Pyright)Go (gopls)Rust (rust-analyzer)C / C++ (clangd)Java (jdtls)

Formatters

Edited files are formatted with the tools your project already uses, so diffs stay clean.

Server, web UI and API

Run the agent headless and connect to it from anywhere.

terminal
# Headless server with an HTTP API
ASSUMER_SERVER_PASSWORD=change-me assumer serve

# Server plus a browser interface
assumer web

# Attach a terminal UI to a running server
assumer attach <server-url>
  • Protect the server with a username and password
  • Drive sessions from your own tools over HTTP
  • Attach any number of terminal UIs to the same server

Start building with Assumer

Install the CLI in one command, sign in, and run your first task in under a minute.

npm i -g @4born-solutions/assumer
