1. Install Assumer

Install the CLI globally with npm (pnpm add -g and bun add -g work too). Native binaries cover macOS, Windows and Linux on x64 and ARM

Your Terminal

npm i -g @4born-solutions/assumer

2. Sign In

Run assumer login and finish the device sign-in in your browser. Models run through your Assumer account, so there are no API keys to paste

# Sign in once (opens a device sign-in page in your browser)
$ assumer login

# Optional: list the models your account can use
$ assumer models

# Optional: add project rules the agent reads every session
$ cat Assumer.md
- Use pnpm, not npm
- Run pnpm test before finishing a task
- Never edit files in src/generated/

3. Ask for a Change

Run assumer in your project root and describe the change. Press Tab to switch to the read-only plan agent first, then Tab back to build when the plan looks right

assumer (run in your project root) Session
Plan agent: read-only analysis (Tab) Plan first
Build agent: edits files and runs commands Default
MCP servers (assumer mcp add) Optional

4. Review & Commit

Review the diff before you keep anything. Use /undo to revert a change and /redo to re-apply it, then commit and ship with your existing pipeline

Your change is ready to review

  • Review the changes with /diff
  • Run /undo to revert, /redo to re-apply
  • git commit, then open a PR as usual
