Tools
The built-in tools Assumer uses to read, search, edit and run your code, from bash and patch to grep, todo lists, web fetch and subagents.
Assumer works through a small set of well-defined tools. Every tool call shows up in the session, and each one is covered by your permission rules.

More tools from MCP
Connect MCP servers to give the agent more tools, such as browser automation, issue trackers or your own internal APIs.
Language servers and formatters
Assumer also uses language servers (TypeScript, Python, Go, Rust, C/C++, Java and more) to understand types and errors, and runs your project’s formatter (Prettier, Biome, gofmt, Ruff, rustfmt…) on edited files so diffs match your style. Language servers are downloaded automatically when a project needs them.
